How it Works

How Aspirin, Paracetamol, and Codeine Work Aspirin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with anti-platelet properties. It works by preventing platelets from aggregating, which reduces the formation of harmful blood clots. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It inhibits the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain and fever. Codeine is an opioid analgesic (pain reliever). It decreases the perception of pain by blocking the transmission of pain signals to the brain.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Aspirin, Paracetamol, and Codeine include nausea, stomach pain, indigestion, constipation, sleepiness, dizziness, and heartburn.
