Cabergoline Uses Cabergoline is used to treat high levels of prolactin. It can stop breast milk production (lactation) in cases of stillbirth, abortion, or miscarriage.

How it Works

How Cabergoline works: Cabergoline functions by reducing the release of prolactin, a hormone that stimulates breast milk production. This action halts milk production in cases of stillbirth, abortion, or miscarriage.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Cabergoline include nausea, constipation, dizziness, fatigue, headache, vomiting, vertigo, abdominal pain, breast pain, sleepiness, valvulopathy and related disorders, dyspepsia, gastritis, weakness, depression, postural hypotension (low blood pressure), and hot flushes.

Cabergoline is used to treat conditions such as infertility and abnormal production of breast milk (galactorrhea) caused by excess production of a natural hormone called prolactin.
To reduce the risk of feeling dizzy or fainting, rise slowly after sitting or lying down.
Do not take Cabergoline if you are breastfeeding.
Take Cabergoline with or after food to minimize side effects such as nausea or indigestion.
Exercise caution while driving or engaging in activities that require concentration, as Cabergoline may cause dizziness and drowsiness.
Regular monitoring of blood pressure may be recommended during treatment with Cabergoline.
