How Clobazam works Clobazam is a benzodiazepine that enhances the action of a chemical messenger called GABA. This increase in GABA activity helps to suppress the abnormal and excessive activity of nerve cells in the brain.

Common side effects of Clobazam include constipation, sleepiness, depression, dizziness, dry mouth, fatigue, headache, nausea, sedation, speech disorders, decreased appetite, irritability, aggression, restlessness, drug tolerance, difficulty concentrating, tremors, and abnormalities in voluntary movements.
