Lactobacillus is used in the treatment of diarrhea.

How it Works

How Lactobacillus works Lactobacillus is a probiotic that helps restore the balance of beneficial bacteria in the intestine, which can be disrupted after antibiotic use or due to intestinal infections.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Lactobacillus include bloating and flatulence.

Expert Advice

Avoid taking Lactobacillus with steroids (medications that weaken the immune system) as it may increase the risk of illness.
Notify your doctor if you are pregnant.
Notify your doctor if you are breastfeeding.
Take Lactobacillus at least 2 hours before or after antibiotics.
Taking Lactobacillus concurrently with antibiotics can reduce their effectiveness.
